Travel pay policy

My company requires me to travel from VA to NJ every three months. The company is located in NJ, and I work from home in VA for the company. For the last three years, when I traveled in March, my flight from NJ to VA was cancelled due to weather, and I have been required to stay over that night and catch a flight out the next day. This puts me getting home a full 24 hours later than I am supposed to. They only pay me for the time that my original fight was to take. The new flight was actually four hours longer in total travel time due to lay overs.
