Question about overtime pay for commercial drivers

Is overtime pay ever required for a commercial driver? I have researched the Motor Carrier Act of 1935 that allows commercial drivers to be exempt, but I am still a little confused. What does Federal Law say about overtime pay?

Call the NC Dept of Labor or the federal Despartment of Labor and you should be able to get an answer. The exceptions to coverage under the FLSA are lengthy, but you should be able to get an answer by calling either govt agency.
