Performance lay-off

I was fired quoting performance reasons, and employer isn't providing any specific reason or recent performance & related personnel records. There has been no performance related issues or discussions with my management and none of the teams have raised any performance concerns or issues. Can I ask for more severance, ask for re-joining ? What other options are available ?
