Non-compete for pest control?

Hi I'm currently in a non-compete clause with my employer at a pest control company. At the end of this year I had planed on relocationg across the state to start my own company, as I have been working in this feild for almost 5 years. However I did not recieve a copy of my non-compete and I do not believe a distance was included in the clause. As I recall it only said 5 years. Does this mean I would be ineligible to start my own company anywhere??
