Non-compete

If a non-compete is signed in Indiana, but the non-compete agreement is drafted in the state of California where the company is based, can the contract be enforced since non-competes in CA are illegal with the exception of limited cases?

If the non-compete specifies which state's laws will apply, the non-compete controls. If not, it depends upon a number of factors.
