My wife's last day in next monday. The company is laying everyone off. She is eligible for maturnity being 35 weeks pregnant can she put in for maternity leave tomorrow (friday) and collect that as well as unemployment?
So company was bought out. Everyone is losing their jobs in 4 days. My wife is 35 weeks pregnant and will lose her insurance. Can she file for maternity leave even though she knows there isn't a company to come back to. Doing this wouldn't she be able to keep her insurance and then collect bennifits? One that is exausted file for unemployment.
