My nanny contract states that either party will give 4 weeks notice unless terminated for listed reasons. While I have those reasons, do I have to state them to her in order to terminate immediately without severance?

I have a nanny contract and it states that employment is at will however, in order to protect both parties, either party will give 4 weeks notice unless termination is for some obvious and listed reasons.
