My employer sent me a severance package in Mail by error, if I sign it are they legally bound to hon

My employer recently downsized its sales force. I did not lose my job, but was placed in an entirely new division and territory not to my liking
Last week I received in the mail a severance package and legal documents. HR said it was sent in error. If I sign it, is the company legally bound to honor it?
