My employer offered me a settlement during meditation but refused to allow me time to review or consult with an attorney. I was told the offer was null and void if I left without signing but the settlement specifically stated that I’m advised to consult an attorney and should be given 21 days to review because of my age. Now I’m forced with making a decision to go to arbitration and the employers attorneys threatened me prior to leaving that they’ll demand I pay all their attorney fees if I move forward. Is this allowed?
