An employer can require a person to work overtime as a condition of employment. Every employee is entitled to at least one day off per week. If you work more than 40 hours per week, the employer is required to pay an overtime wage of 1.5 times your normal rate for every hour worked. There are exceptions and to be more specific, I would require more information. Feel free to contact me for more information at dnixon@dnixonlaw.com
