Lump sum, release-of-claims severance agreement: any impact on SDI benefits?

Hello. I was fired from my job at the end of 2015. I have been receiving SDI benefits for a disability, and the benefits are set to run out in July. I am contemplating signing a severance agreement to release all of my claims against my former employer (specifically, I was considering suing for disability discrimination). The severance payment will be a one-time, lump sum. Will this affect my SDI benefits? If not, should I still report it to SDI in the name of transparency? Thank you in advance for your help!
