Layoff to Termination

I've been layed off for more than 12 months. Now my company has brought everyone else back but me. I've gotton the run around when I asked why I'm not being brought back. Reasons like new company policy states no family working together as my brother also works there. However they refuse to give me any reason in writing now stating its been more than 12 months and they dont have to bring me back.

The immeadiate supervisor making these calls is the typical "workplace Bully" and my brother who is the union stewart has been having an ongoing "war" with him over his tatics and that has generated some serious heat for this supervisor from his superiors.

We believe not bringing me back is retaliation for the trouble my brother has caused him.

Is there anything I can do to save my job?

If you are being retaliated against due to your brother's union activities you may have a claim that you can pursue with the National Labor Relation Board.

Call the Cincinnati office of the NLRB and ask to speak to Information Officer.
