Isn't this illegal for the employers to do this anywhere in the US?

I just got a phone call on Saturday from my employer and told me that according to their surveillance cam, I was on google map reviewing traffic before the end of work day. And they have decided to terminate my work for two weeks beginning on the upcoming Monday. (there was no previous communication of any sort, until the employer suddenly intimated and harassed me while I was dropping off my kid off to a math tutoring class) I asked the employer to formally email me a notice of action, and also complaint about the time they contacted me was inappropriate due to my personal time. Now is Sunday, and I still do not receive any sort of further formal notice. Isn't this madness or black terror at work of some kind? Just last week, I went to the warehouse to help out picking items, I made a few errors by picking the wrong items during the final busy cut-off time. Afterwards, the warehouse supervisor called the entire company to gather at the warehouse and then, started pointing the mistakes, and was super upset and openly humiliated me and another colleague whom checked my work (also missed it). We were punished to clean the toilets for a week. Under the impression of not to face the direct confrontation and worried about being fired, I decided to scrub the toilet for a week. Now, it just ended on Friday, no this madness and intimidation arise!! Please help me!
