Is this retailiation?

I've been denied break periods for about 7 yrs that i've worked for this company. My hrs changed and i was ontime everyday however, i couldnot get into the building @ my scheduled time. I complained to my manager of the problem and it was not corrected. I continued to show up @ scheduled hr for shift and no one was there still to open.
I got frustrated about having to stay 2-3 hours longer to get my 8hrs because the scheduled personel to open the building was not an ontime employee.
My supervisor changed for my dept and I immediately spoke with him about the situation. A week later I was written up for some bogus issue, demoted and 2 weeks later laidoff my job that i had seniority and knew everything about everything. I have never been written up and was told that I was a "ideal" employee. They said if they could clone 10 of me they would not need the other 150 employees. I told them that I was not complaining about them shaving my hrs and taking break times out of my pay that I had not taken, I just wanted to start my shift on time and leave on time. I was working 2-3 hrs more but not paid for it everyday. Is this retaliation?

denied breaks

You may well have a case of retaliation. However, we would need more information from you before rendering an opinion. Please contact me at info@pingellaw.com. You may also visit my website at www.pingellaw.com.

I look forward to discussing your case with you.
