Is this non-compete clause applicable to my case

My case
Company X used to hold my H1B visa is a consulting Co

I got a project through A which presented me to B as his employee, then B presented me to C as his employee,C is prefered vendor to client. I was interviewed by the client and I was successful.

There was paper contract between X and company A.

After 6 months A's contract with B is over so he informs me and X about it and goes away. In the meantime B offers me project at the same client I accepted it and trasferred my H1B to B.

non compete clause in the agreement I signed for X

"Not to compete with X directly or indirectly, whether as owner, employee, independent contractor or otherwise, or to become associated with or have an interest in any business competition with X , while employed at X . Within this section compete means to participate in any business activity which is similar to the business activity which you perform for X and for 12 months following termination of your employment with X you agree not to become employed by any customer or third party with whom you have had the opportunity to work as a result of your employment with X".

I want to know if I break the non-compete or I am fine. Since X has paperwork with A only and I represented X only to A. Companies B, C and client doesnt have any paper work with X.
