Is my non-compete to broad?

I have a non-compete with a former employer that has a term of 3 years and a 100 mile radius from the business. The business was recently sold is there anyway to get out of this non-compete without a legal battle?

Ask a lawyer to review the terms of the contract containing the non-compete agreement to assess the effect of the business sale and the reasonableness of the scope of the agreement.
The reasonableness of the geographical radius and duration of the agreement depends on the legitimate interests to be protected and the geographical scope of the employer's business. Consider the possibility of negotiating an agreement to limit or eliminate the non-compete provision.
