Is it possible to file a class action suit against a job elimination on the grounds they should prove it was for saving money? In other words, exactly how much do they need to prove that the money was worth it? I work for a university and there are basically 6 of us. We all do an excellent job and that was to keep the money inside the university rather than an expenditure. They have decided that outsourcing was cheaper for them? But by how much? Because our "Director" makes $100K for his position and shouldn't have been making that because the only reason he had that salary was because he used to run PR for the University and was forced to step down because of his abusive nature. He retained the salary and we heard that it did come down to about $100K difference. They could very easily have eliminated his job and gave the oversite of our operations to the person in charge of current outsroucing like food, and mail room.
