Is it legal in Florida to put someone on leave who is under a doctor's care. I have been put on leave because someone overheard I was taking pain medication prescribed by my surgeon

I was told that I am on administrative leave last Thursday because someone called my corporate office in Iowa and told them they overheard me say I'm taking pain medication prescribed by my surgeon. I showed my executive director my prescription she told me I'm on leave until I take a drug screen. Well I'm still sitting at home a week later I have not been contacted by a MRO and work is still not getting back to me. I have no worries because I only take what is prescribed I would like to get back to work

Your question raises multiple questions, ones that are best addressed through a consultation with an attorney. There are disability issues as well as issues under the FMLA that may provide you with some benefits, protections and right. Contact counsel of your choosing.
