Is it legal for my boss to deduct a percentage before my commission for usage of hair color product even though I have to pay for my styling products for my station out of my own pocket. She is essentionaly lower my commission to help her pay for her over
I'm paid 50%. Owner takes 10% off the total I produced then gives me the 50% from the remainder. Its supposed to help pay for hair color used, offset assistant payroll, shampoo and conditioner at the back bar. She is threatening to increase the amount taken if we don't sell more retail products.
