Is is legal to force current employees to sign a workplace culture agreement as a term of their employment, though it was not an original term of their employment when they were hired? And, if he/she violates that workplace culture agreement, can they be

A "workplace culture" agreement has been introduced into the required employment terms for new employees at my company. According to upper management, all employees, including those who have worked at the company for 10+ years, must sign off on the agreement as a term of their employment, and, any violation of the agreement is cause for dismissal. Is this a lawful requirement of employees who did not have this as part of their original terms of employment?
