If a construction job goes to court in CA can an employee be held peronally responsible

I'm a project director working out of AZ. I have a roofing project in CA that is going sideways. There are 7 building completed of 10 and secondary damages have been cased by the sub contracted to the summ of $110K+. My CFO and VP are not engaging with the sub or suppliers. My fear if this goes to court they have plausible deniability to the interaction with all parties involved.
