IF EMPLOYEE QUITS HIS JOB TO GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY AND THEY LAY HIM OFF CAN HE COLLECT AGAINST MY COMPANY

We have a full time employee who resigned from his job for another job. He was laid off from that job and has now filed for unemployed against us.

David Neel
Generally, if he quit then he can't collect unemployment. There are exceptions -- for example, because of a cut in hours or pay or lieu of getting terminated.
