I receive disciplinary action for falling asleep on duty and a no-call no-show. I accept my wrongdoing and the docking of my paycheck. I was dock one day on the no-call no-show and two days on the falling asleep on duty. I'm a South Carolina State Employee. After they dock my pay I'll governor and lawmakers gave correction officers bonuses that were not based on performance but to help boost our pay. However they made it so that if you had any disciplinary action against you within a 6 months or year you forfeited your bonus. I missed out on three bonuses. Is it lawful to punish an employee twice for the same incident pay wise? Can they dock not just my paycheck but take away future bonuses as well?
