I was not given the free life insurance or retirement as every other employee. Any recourse?

When I was hired was told the life insurance was at my cost and never told of a retirement plan which every other employee was given. The retirement is employer matched to 2%. I found out after almost 5 years employment and was immediately given the life insurance at employer cost as everyone else has but not allowed in retirement. In my employer handbook it states that the company does not have retirement.
Also, recently I was sick and my supervisor emailed the entire company, described the illness which has now caused unwanted harrassment by employees. Is this discrimination or what is it. The employer has over 15 employees and I am a caucasion male.
