I was forced to resign and placed on Admin Leave until 10-14-15, last day of employment due to being out on FMLA and going over my 12 weeks by 16 hours, two work days. My question is why wasn't I notified of my overage until after the fact. I was under th

FMLA Aporoved for own illness. Never received notice of any FMLA used or balances. Only until I had gone over by 2 work days, exactly 15.5 hours was I notified I no longer was covered and I was forced to resign my position. Is this acceptable? Why wasn't I notified prior to? I would've returned. I was actually waiting on a doctors note to return to work because I was out more than 3 days. I was out 6 days and the last 2 days I was ready to go back to work but I specifically emailed my director to tell him I was waiting on dr's note to return to work. I come in and I'm forced to resign and placed on paid Admin Leave for two weeks. Did I drop the ball by not keeping track of my hours or did employer drop ball by not notifying me prior to me going over my job protected FMLA leave. Why wasn't I ever told I didn't need a dr's note? If I'm calling in because I'm awaiting a dr's note is that conauseated FMLA?
