I was demoted in my job do to poor performance it was presented to me basically take the demotion or face termination now the same district manager is saying I choose to leave telling people I could have stayed but that was not how it was presented to me.

I had a poor inventory at my store in June and feel there was a bullseye put on my back since ...although I am not the only person who has issues in their store I'm the only one demoted for it I know for a fact another manager was transfered not demoted
