I was a consultant for a hospital for close to two years. When they were bought out by a larger organization, they hired myself and one other consultant at the higher hourly rate we were making and with benefits. Now they want to cut back on the pay. But

I am the loser here being terminated, not because of any wrong doing but to save money, and being asked to stay on but be employed by another firm knowingly aware that this is a way to pay me less than what my current compensation is. I live in Florida and work remotely for a hospital in the state of Maine.
