I reached a verbal agreement for my resignation with my employer for an event they wanted me to stay for 1 month away.. The event is canceling and now they want me to stay for only 2 weeks to train my replacement. Do I have any recourse?

Verbal agreement for me to stay till December 8th. Gave resignation for that date now they have hired a replacement for me and want to cancel the event they wanted me to stay for. They are offering me two weeks to stay and train the new person. I also had a vacation planned for three days during the time frame I am now out of.
