I live in S.C. and I verbally gave a statement to employer that I was leaving a week ago. the second week I wrote a statement saying I was leaving to go to a higher paying job. I am still employed but they said I quit so I can't get PTO time.

I am still employed until February 20th. Why am I not entitled to my PTO time? Employer states to me that I have to be there a year also to receive my PTO earned time if I decide to leave
