I was laid off 2 weeks ago via text at 8:30 pm. In the text, my exboss stated he would pay me 2 weeks severance pay. I've received nothing. I haven't been paid for the 2 days I worked that week either. He only communicates via text and that's when I tell him I have items belonging to the company (which I don't anymore). Do I have a right to the severance pay sinve he included that statement in the text laying me off?
