Can my job stop the 26 weeks i am allowed for Disability and fire me once my DI and FMLA time is use

I am on Disability and my FMLA just began. I have used all of my sick and vacation time, and my job began my State Disability at the end of July. Every time i submit my physician statements and have the employer portion completed the human resources manager states: "I don't know how long i can keep your job for you.". Human resources had me complete an FMLA. The physician wrote that i would not be back to work until January. Can my job stop the 26 weeks i am allowed for Disability and fire me once my DI and FMLA time is used up?

If you work for the government and covered by a union you may have more than 12 weeks of leave.

If you work in NYC you have more rights under the city laws for human rights.

You definitely need to consult with an employment lawyer. Your facts and condition and job and work history need careful analysis.
