I am getting a settlement from my former employer but I am told by my lawyer that they are refusing to release the check because I did not pay my taxes on my 401k, and that the check is being held until I pay the taxes can they do that or does the IRS aut
I was terminated from my employer because of a co worker did not like me, I did win a settlement but I am being told they will not release the money until I pay my back taxes on my 401k, which I did not pay because I used the money to pay bills.
