I Was fired for thc in my system 2 days after i reported my co worker stealing time. Everyone at my job and around town knows this. Is this illegal? Was this retaliation with whistle blowing?

For 2 years, I reported to my supervisor that there was methamphetamine use and stealing time by my co worker. I had asked to speak to my boss/plant manager regarding my multiple complaints because my supervisor disregarded them. I was brought to a meeting including my co workers, supervisors and the person I made these claims against. I was called out at the meeting and was told to explain my claims to everyone at this meeting. Nothing was done about the drug use, time stealing or racial slurs. 2 days later, while I was at work, the hr lady came to my job site, grabbed my arm and escorted me to the plant for a u.a. I admitted to having thc in my system because it is legal in alaska, and it helps with my eye diseases. I was terminated that same day. My question is, was this retaliation on my employers part because I was called out at meeting to state my claims? And the same day, everyone at the plant and bunkhouse knows why I was fired yet I never told anyone.
