Hello, I have been on medical short term disability leave for almost 8 weeks. My disability ends in a few weeks & I found a better job recently. I would like to give my current job two weeks notice so that they can start to find someone to take my place.

I've worked for this company for 3 & 1/2 years & I am currently on short term disability due to medical reasons. My disability will be ending in a few weeks. I have found a better job & would like to give my current job two weeks notice so that they have some time to start looking for my replacement. I did not tell the new job that I am on medical leave & im concerned that when they verify employment with current job that the current job is going to provide my ending date of employment to be the day that I went on short term disability.
