Harassement/slander

I recently learned at my new job "less then 60 days there" that someone I knew when I was 11 and at school is spreading around I'm transitioning from male to female saying I got kicked out of school and telling people my DOB and where I live. I have no idea where she got all this info since I haven't seen her in 16yrs and we're on different shifts while yes it's true I'm trans no one was supposed to know besides my hr leader who swore to tell no one. I complained to my supervisor but he ignored me I later found out the girl spreading the rumour is his gf. I have spoke to HR they said they'll investigate .. but this has caused ppl asking me awkward questions and treating me wierdly and no one will really talk to me... I'm in Ohio and it's a factory but we are a equal opportunity employer
