Does this void a NON-Compete contract.

I signed a employment contract with an IT firm that says that i shall be paid on a by-weekly bassis no later than 7 days after pay-period ends on the preceeding Friday and in that agreement there is a non-compete agreement that states that i can not solicite any employees and or previous or present clients for employment or work or contracts. Now I am being fired because I have told them that I am going to contact the labor board due to the fact that for the last 2 pay perriods i have not recieved a check on the day that i was to recieve it and as of now i am waiting for a check that i was to recieve this past friday when all other employees have received theirs. In fact i have yet to recieve a real paycheck for the previous pay period only qoute Advances. Is this legal ground to void the contract in full including the non-compete. I would like to start my own buisness and have had request from current clients of the IT firm that is firrng me to be their IT man.

Thank You

Failure to pay timely wages

You should talk to an attorney about a breach of contract claim and a wage payment claim.
