Does my statement clarify as defamation at work?
was working as a contractor, the hiring manager at the time screamed at me and another co-worker assuming that the co-worker had been called for help. The hiring manager called my staffing agency and accused me of acting inappropriately and that they needed to coach me. I ended up getting hired, however, the staffing agency received negative feedback and false claims that could have jeopardized my relationships with the staffing agency or the opportunity to gain full time permanent status. Is this defamation of character?
