Does an employment contract that explicitly states that i am owed reimbursements protect me?

Hello. I’m contacting you because I have filed a Justice of the Peace lawsuit against my former employer for business related expenses that are owed to me. I understand that typically there is no guarantee for reimbursement from employers, however it is explicitly stated in my employment contract that even if the contract were to be terminated that I am still owed all wages and any business related expenses incurred during employment. If I have proper documentation of the travel and hotel costs, written acknowledgment from my former employer of these expenses that are due to me via email, and the employment agreement, is it likely that this will hold up in court/be ruled in my favor?
