Do I have to repay tuition reimbursement money?
I submitted my two week notice and my employer told me to not return a week prior to actual resignation date. My questions is at this point was I terminated? My employer is saying they moved my resignation date up but this does not sound correct to me. I am concerned because I took part in their tuition reimbursement program and if I leave voluntarily I must repay the money borrowed but if terminated I do not have to repay the money. Am I legally obligated to repay the money because I feel I was terminated and did not actually resign. Also they did not pay out my final two weeks. I was only paid for one week.
