Do I have to give up my severance pay?

The company told me that they needed to transfer me to their related company in my home country after 16years of working in the US. They also said that they could have me in their payroll for only another three months. My contract says that they provide five months base salary severance in case of termination but also says that is not applied if I am offered a job by an entity the company is related. The offered job is abroad and the pay is less than 60 percent of my current salary. I am from that country but I have children who are US citizens. In this case, do I still have to give up the severance pay if I don't take the job?
