Contract invalid? Please help!!
I am an independant contractor working customer service and signed something very short for a contract that simply said "I understand and agree to service for a minimum of one year. If I choose to terminate my contract I understand I will not be able to work for a call center, including "company name here" for a minimum of 5 year and I forfeit fifty percent (50%) of my last invoice.
Now they are saying they will let me out of the contract but will take 100% of my pay.
