Confused about severance
My company A is being bought out by another company B. There has always been a severance package in our policy handbook. As employees we have been told we will not qualify for severance enless we apply, take a test for Company B and they decide Not to hire us. Can we be forced to apply for jobs with new company B to qualify for severance?
