Compensation for unjustified lay-off

I had an employment agreement as an assistant in a day care. However, my employer made be work as a teacher instead of an assistant, i.e. I was in charge alone of the children. For this I had no qualification whatsoever. As I needed the work I did not dare to object.

During this time I suffered a lot of stress and emotional problems as I did not know how to deal with the situations arising with the children as I was not trained as a teacher.

There were fights between the children where they bit each other and the parents complained to the day care. The owner put all blame on me and lied to the parents that I had only recently finished my teacher studies and thus did not have much experience. Thus my reputation was ruined.

After this occurrence the owner fired me to keep the parents happy. I feel I was unjustly laid off for something which was not my fault, and the owner is doing illegal practices, cheating the parents, and putting into jeopardy the safety of the children (assistants are not qualified to take care of children alone).

The owner runs 5 day cares and making the issue public in facebook or whatsoever would do great damage to her business.

I feel entitled for a compensation (unjustified lay off, paid as assistant but worked as a teacher, damage to reputation, emotional damage as I feel now very insecure, damage to my future career as a teacher assistant)

What are my recourse in this situation?
