Can u cancel a severance package offer that your sign for. They didn't inform me that I need to talk to a lawyer or I keep the argument so many days

On June 29,2016 my supervisor called me in the office and told me I was being terminated after 4-years because of my criminal record. She said we giving u severance pay and not fight your unemployment. U need to sign this right now and leave. I want to cancel the argument and how do I go about it. She didn't tell me I could keep it a couple days or best to consult attorney before signing it
