Can my temporary staffing agency refuse to pay my sick time?

I worked for a temporary staffing agency that offered sick and vacation time if you worked enough hours. I had met the requirement prior to being hired permanently by my assignment. However, when I went to use my sick time the agency said I had none (even though I had confirmed with them 2-3 weeks prior via email). Now they’re refusing to pay me for the three days that I was out, stating that I am not eligible for sick time. I have now converted to my permanent position so I no longer work for the agency. Is there anything I can do to recover my last wages??
