Can my employer deny my request for a voluntary demotion into a position I used to occupy and am qualified for?
I am really unhappy as a supervisor and submitted a request to my employer requesting my old job back, or one similar to it. It is a large company and there are many openings for the job I used to have and am requesting. Can they say no? It has been done by other employee's in the past and there is not policy regarding this in our Employee Handbook.
