Can my current employer fire me for not signing a confidentiality and non-interference agreement?

My employer has offered me a raise as compensation for signing a confidentially and non-interference agreement but when given the contract days later I was told I would no longer be employed if I did not agree to sign. Can they do this? I have only days to agree or be fired.
