Can an independent contractors pay be changed retroactively? I know this is illegal in the case of an employee and employer, but what rights does an independent contractor have?
I am an independent contractor and have been told that my contract is going to be amended and the rate of pay will be deceasing on work that has already been done. Is is legal for a business to change pay retroactively to an independent contractor?
