Can a nonprofit take away and make me owe on vacation time if they are going out of business?

Hi, I am in Arizona and my employer is a nonprofit and are closing their doors at the end of May. Today they told us we would not be getting any vacation or sick time that we have left over, and if we have taken any this year we have to pay that back and it would be taken out of our last paycheck. Can they legally do that?
