Can Texas employers discriminate against EXPUNGED misdemeanors?

I feel ( feel is an understatement, I was explicitly told by the interviewer) that I've been discriminated against by employers due to an expunged misdemeanor. I know there are only a few states which are allowed to discriminate against me based on expunged misdemeanors. Is Texas One of them? This has also happened in other states (I'm currently in CA applying and interviewing via telephone for entry level jobs).
